NDP leader Jack Layton says we (Canada) should pull our troops out of Afghanistan and negotiate with the Taliban to bring peace and stability to that nation. Yeah. Negotiate with a radical, extremist, theocratic organization that believes human rights are a pox on their political aspirations.

Negotiate with a group who are so fundamentally opposed to our Western way of life that they wish our societies to be destroyed and our citizens slain.

Negotiate with a homicidal group of oppressors who shut their women away out of sight, refuse to allow women to be educated, isolate and indoctrinate their children into a life of perpetual hatred and violence.

Maybe Jack Layton should ask the hundreds or thousands who died at the hands of the Taliban how well negotiation works...
