It's so nice to be able to walk through the Saskatchewan River valley at this time of year. The fall colours are rich and warm, the sweet smell of autumn floats through the air... and the dogs want a treat. Since they want a treat pretty much every time they do something good - a pretty effective system - they wind up getting get a small piece of cookie quite often.

Autumn is probably my favourite season, even though I do love hot, clear summer days, and crisp, clean winter days of x-country skiing. Any time of the year is a blessing if we just open ourselves to all that it has to offer.
