Happy New Year!

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year in 2007. May everyone be blessed with good health, security, happiness, the company and support of loving family & friends, and good fortune. The past year has been a difficult one for many around the world. Sadly, it was no different than most for far too many people, and we can all only hope and pray that life improves for the impoverished, and the victims of war, crime, famine, drought, natural disaster, and disease.

May the future be bright and your journey be trouble-free. And please, for those of you in a position to do so - don't drink and drive.

Merry Christmas...

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. If that offends you, I'm sorry for you, but I will not apologize for wishing people the best of the season, irrespective of race, creed, colour, or religion. At this time of the year, Christians celebrate Christmas, but followers of other faiths celebrate and worship in their own way. There are also those who neither celebrate nor worship at this, or any other, time of the year. The most important thing to keep in mind is that we are all blessed with the right to choose our beliefs, and to practice our faiths, and to worship - or not - as we will.
Practice tolerance, respect, and acceptance, at Christmas and all through the year. If we do that, we all have something to celebrate.

Random Ax at Sneaky Pete's

And so...

Another weekend event extraordinaire - or at least a couple of nights of playing for a few extra Christmas bucks. Random Ax is one of the bands I play with (bass guitar, in this case) and we play original and cover material. Our lead singer has a catalogue of about 40 songs, and we tend to play about 20 or so of those, along with some cover songs to fill out the night. We've become the de facto regular band at Sneaky Pete's Bar & Grill.

If you're in Edmonton, come on down and have a pint, or a glass, or a highball, and enjoy some good, honest, Canadian rock and roll with Jeff, Mike, Bart, and yours truly.
