Prepare for glory!

Just watched the movie 300 on an IMAX screen last night. Loved it! Admittedly, this kind of movie is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is for me!

I found the stylized presentation of Frank Miller's graphic novel, presented by Zack Snyder, met my expectations and surpassed them. Great action, excellent visual style and effects, and very powerful and captivating performances by all of the lead actors.

This is not - and was never meant to be - an accurate historical depiction of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC [more here, here, here, and here]. It is entertainment, after all. The spectacle presented on the screen is quite impressive, nonetheless, and for all of those who love the genre, it's even more impressive on the giant IMAX screen.
